On Tuesday, August 17, 2021, we celebrate National Nonprofit Day (NND) where we recognize the impact that nonprofit organizations have on our lives and communities. National Nonprofit Day was founded by best-selling author Sherita J. Herring to educate people on how nonprofit organizations make a difference in our daily lives and also as a way to encourage people to get involved and become change-makers themselves.

Here Are Three Ways to Celebrate National Nonprofit Day #NationalNonprofitDay 

1) Thank Your Volunteers – Say thanks to the people that go above and beyond for your organization by sending a thank you that recognizes their contribution to your success. The thank you can be in the form of a personal note or email and you can go so as to recognize specific volunteers in a profile on your website and social media pages.

2) Thank Your Donors – Every dollar counts when you are trying to change the world and help others so make sure to thank all of your donors for their continued support. 

3) Tell A Story – Highlight the impact that your organization has on others by sharing a story of a recipient of one of your programs. National Nonprofit Day is an excellent opportunity to spotlight positive outcomes and promote the work of your organization.
